EDR Performance to run Ducati 848 for 2008 Season

Matris Suspension comes on board

Matris Dampers, Italy is pleased to announce they will be supporting the 2008 Team EDR Performance Ducati 848 Super bike project!

Matris Dampers of Italy is known in Europe as one of the top manufactures of the highest quality suspension components. They are now looking to further their product use in the United States with the help of EDR Performance.

Since starting in 1980 they have set out with a primary objective of producing the best suspension components for motorcycles. Their product ranges from simple steering damper kits to full on GP quality F43P N2 pressurized forks. Over the years they have won numerous titles and championships.

EDR Performance "We're really excited to see how they work for us. The info we have received from other teams in Europe using has been very encouraging. The quality in just the build alone is better than anything i have seen, not too mention they are almost works of art in just looks alone" Eric Dorn, owner of EDR Performance went on to say "We will be working very closely with Dave Hodges of GP Suspension and Barry Wressell of KFG Suspension with setup and development of the entire Matris line"

EDR Performance will be using Matris Dampers exclusively on their Ducat 848 superbike. The team will be using the extreme high end M05-R shock and their ALL Titanium bodied M4-R racing replica steering damper. We encourage you to stop by our shop or our pits in 2008 take a look at their stuff, it is truly a work of art in alloy craftsmanship!

The team is hoping to have a set of Matris's newly produced F43P Nitrogen pressurized Super bike forks for testing by summer.

HUGE thanks to Alberto and the entire Italian based Matris Damper staff for their support of EDR Performance's 2008 racing effort

R-Tech Racing Fuels comes on board

EDR Performance is pleased to announce that for 2008 we will be running R-tech Pro-V1 fuel in our Ducati 848 Superbike.

R-Tech Racing Fuels has agreed to become the exclusive fuel partner for Team EDR Performance Ducati 848 superbike for the 2008 race season! R-Tech will be providing the team with its Daytona 200 winning fuel, Pro-V1 for the 2008 season!

EDR Performance is excited to have a LOCAL fuel company behind us, it allows us to work WITH the owner himself and helps provide our customers with the very best fuel, quickly.

We met with owner Gary Ricci (Ex. NW Class Championship's racer) over the past few months to discuss our concerns with fuel, our issues in past with all brands of fuels, and our problem with other fuels delivery. We have always seen impressive power with the Pro-V1 line of fuels and to date not seen one issue with the Pro-V1. In 2007 we had several top EDR riders running Pro-V1 with success. We needed a top power producing fuel for our customers that not only made BIG hp and impressive acceleration, but one we could stand behind reliability wise and also one we could supply consistently. We felt that showing our customers that we are running the VERY SAME fuel we are selling, it will go a long ways in proving that R-Tech Pro-V1 is one of the very best fuels you can use.

Gary went on to discuss the latest changes he has made to further improve it, including newly lined containers and holding the blender to even stricter guidelines. We talked with several other top racers that have used it to get their direct feedback as well as other dealers that have used it, including KFG's Barry Wressell "Pro-V1 is awesome, I've never seen any issues with it and the stuff makes big hp, plus we can get it almost overnight, so delivery is always good" In talking with other top teams like Attack Performance's Richard Stanboli, we found that they too have not only had tremendous success with it (Attack won the 2007 Dayton 200 using R-tech Pro-V1) but have not had any issues with quality, consistency, nor delivery.

In every test we have done, R-tech Pro-V1 has made the most power of any over the counter fuel. The increased throttle response is extremely impressive as is the acceleration of the motorcycle.

We currently are now a stocking dealer for R-tech Pro-V1 fuel as well as R-tech's R-110 which is a great high octane, entry level fuel with a small amount of oxygen to help with even more hp. This is a great fuel to use even at 50% with pump gas and yet raises the octane to help protect against detonation. This is very popular SV650 and GSXR1000 superbike fuel, without breaking the bank!

We currently have the Pro-V1 and R110 in stock at our shop and will also be bringing it to the track for your convenience during OMRRA events, PSSR, Nesba and Moto Corsa events. (Washington events to be handled by KFG's Barry Wressell)

Please feel free to contact us if you have ANY questions, concerns or want any type of data on the R-tech fuel. We look forward to another great year with a great local company like R-tech.

Leo Vince produces what we believe are some of THE finest exhaust systems around! They fit is better than most OEM systems, the power produced is almost always the highest for each bike and the look is fantastic!

EDR Performance has loved working with their systems in the past, and with our new partnership we will be purchasing DIRECTLY from Leo Vince..this allows us to really focus on supporting the product through great pricing discounts, quickest shipment of product and direct technical support!

Their technical support is BY FAR one of the best in the industry..and a little fun fact? they are the WORLDS OLDEST EXHAUST MANUFACTURE for motorcycles, since 1953! They sell over 2,000,000 exhaust systems a year which provides them with unchallenged product development, however we love the fact that we can TALK to a technician instantly on the phone, no long distance emails, waiting for weeks!

WE all here at EDR Performance are extremely excited on this new working partnership and know that our customers and racers will really love the added benefits as well!

Feel free to pm or call us about a system for your bike today! Trust us, you'll be happy you do!

Competition Systems comes on board

Jan 27th, 2008 – EDR Performance is VERY excited and please to announce their newest Ducati tuning partner, Competition Systems, ltd.

"The Nemesis ECU" by Competition Systems, ltd will raise the bar in TOTAL Ducati tuning.

Competition Systems, ltd is based in Oxfordshire, UK and has one of the best reputations in motorsport data acquisition systems, Ferrari ECU tuning and F1 development with the Magneti Marelli systems. Competition Systems's "Nemesis ECU" developed solely for the late model Ducati market is VERY exciting and has been proving itself since day one! We spoke in length with fellow Nemesis tuning centers and got nothing but huge praise for the products reliability, ease of tuning and outstanding support from Competition Systems, ltd.

EDR to Build/Race 848 Superbike

Jan 17th, 2008 – EDR Performance, the Pacific Northwest's premier motorcycle performance center will build and race a Ducati 848 Superbike in 2008! The EDR crew has taken delivery of their bike from local Ducati dealer and lead team sponsor, MotoCorsa of Portland. The bike will be developed in house by EDR Performance's proven race crew lead by owner Eric Dorn along with ex-factory Honda race tech Chris Vandervoort and long time EDR Crew members Gary Guinn, Chris Adolphson and Nolan Igarashi. The bike will be ridden by OMRRA #181 Jason Bluth in select AMA Formula Xtreme, WERA, and WMRRA events along with the complete OMRRA series for 2008

The team is extremely happy to have previous class champion Jason Bluth riding again for them in 2008. Says Bluth "When Eric called me about this opportunity to run a Ducati 848 with EDR Performance building it, I was ecstatic. The team has definitely proven itself over the years with the Japanese bikes and now with this new Italian race project I'm really looking forward to helping them succeed." The team is hoping to have its first test on February 17th at WSMC dependent upon parts availability.

For team owner Eric Dorn, today was yet another big step for his shop in terms of growth. EDR Performance is making a more public showing of their support for the Ducati brand of motorcycles. According to Dorn, “I’m really excited. I have always wanted to build and race a Ducati for our shop. Each year we support over 60 NW racers, along with that we like to do our own EDR Performance team race bike to keep pushing the envelope. This month our local Ducati dealer, MotoCorsa stepped up at the opportunity to be the platform for our 2008 race project. My crew and I want to show the NW in particular that we can build and compete with a Ducati at the same level of competitiveness that we have with over the years with the Japanese brands. We also believe Jason will be a strong contender, last season for fun, we threw him on our R6 superbike and without ever riding a 600 or Dunlop tires, by his 3rd lap was within ½ second of the top 600 times.”

Arun Sharma of MotoCorsa “For sure, this is going to be very exciting. We are pleased to work with EDR and help them build what will be an amazing bike. The 848 is really going to open up some eyes at the track. If the success EDR Performance has enjoyed in the past is any indication, this Ducati will be a bike to be reckoned with”

Along with MotoCorsa of Portland, the team is also extremely excited to continue its work with the successful combination of Dunlop tires and suspension tuning by KFG’s Barry Wressell. Other long time Team EDR Performance sponsors back for 2008 include; GP Suspension, Yoyodyne, and Spiegler USA. New for 2008 is the support from Carbone Lorraine brake pads. The team is close to finalizing many other new and exciting sponsors for the bike and will announce on their website soon.
