now hold on my little NESBA weenier schnitzels.......my question is what is the big deal about getting points in the money class? I love the fact that OMRRA is giving money back to racers....but what is the big deal about points? I can only afford to run 3-4 races a weekend, and if I am going for points, why the hell would I drop a points class to run for money only? Strange to have a premier class and not offer points.......even stranger that asking for points in a class makes me sound like a little bity bitch, USBA fucking rocks!!!! USBA has 1 open superbike, money paying, points paying, qualifying class, and it's for the #1 plate............done ranting!

USBA Open Superbike Sunday Schedule........Sunday morning fast practice is an announced, qualifying 15 min practice session for grid position.
The race has more laps than any other class, has nice money payout and is the only class you can earn a top 5 plate in. |

Sam, isn't there someone you want to beat?
Here's my promise to you (if I figure out how to get on the grid this year): If I win $100 and you win $75, I'm going to take the $25 difference and with you in mind, buy a can of cocktail wienies and feed it to an incessantly yapping dog, get a couple dolla' dances from an emaciated dancer, then take the last dollar bill, write your name and race number on it, squat, wipe and flush. Wanna race now? Here's a preview of me and the crew's victory dance. Barry's gonna wear the cowboy hat.

WOW! Your all retarded red headed step children! Why will no one answer my simple question....."WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT RUNNING NORMAL POINTS IN THE NEW MONEY CLASS"???? I would love to run it and beat all your asses, but without season points my skinny ass will never step foot on that grid.

Sam- I was working it out. BE PATIENT!
***BACK TO BEING SERIOUS*** I was noodling this whole 'how do we get full participation in both FU races' last week as I was sketching this out and thought the order of POINTS Saturday and $$$ Sunday was only one part of the solution. Now I'm sure this won't be popular with some folks BUT what about splitting the FU triple points between the two races? I'm going to wager that there's nothing written saying triple points has to occur in one race. How about DOUBLE POINTS Saturday with $$$ and SINGLE POINTS Sunday (1.5 points in each is likely too difficult from a scorer's point of view). As close to a guarantee to full participation in both even for non-$$$ winners. I think front runners might like this one too. If you DNF any of the races, you can still salvage points from the other. I think the rest of the club might be in favor of this too. There's a greater chance the points totals won't be so high comparative to the rest of the club. Bitch and moan all you like but the premier class should be of the caliber to finish all races upright and out of technical bother. Premiere assumes best riders, best team, etc. Anyone like this wrinkle? Let the flames begin.

Guys - without getting into details as I don't have as much time to type as Mr. Dorn. There is no way to split up season points or have points in both races under the current rulebook structure.
There will be CLASS points in both races. But the Olympic Scoring proposal was voted down by the membership so impossible to have SEASON points in both races. |
