Seriously, I picked up one for my R6 from an autozone for 5 bucks. Didn't have much luck at any of the hardware stores or specialty shops. It's for a subaru axle which may work for yours as well.

My 07 1000 didn't come with one, it's just a standard nut (unless Eric stole it last year when the bike sat on it's ass in the shop all year).

You can always try Tacoma Screw in Portland. I love that place. They always have the bolts I need. :)

I think the 01-04 rear axle is interchangeable with the 05-08 rear axle. I've got one for you (axle and nut) if you can't find one locally. Let me know if I can help.

the 07+ is locking, not castle. As Tyson once said to Chunke1 on .ws "Hey Do, we can get you one, its titanium and bad ass you NEED it...ohh and its $100" ROFL
