Thanks all. I'll be fine. Will miss the first two or three races next season for sure. I was also supposed to work in the pits for one of the local club racers during 200. Doc says no weight on the leg for 3 months. We'll see about that!

Medical "Practice"! When I broke my foot in an off raod race in 99 the docs told me I would never be able to run again and I would have a limp for the rest of my life. I now work at a job that I have to qualify annually for with a timed 1.5 mile run and a prone to standing 40 yard dash. WTF do Doctors know?!

Yeah, looks like they left some fragments behind... maybe they'll sprout into a second femur, and Speed will have hot-swap spare. ;)

That makes my old injuries shiver! I highsided on my Ducatipault when the engine spewed oil all over my rear tire, I broke 4 ribs, compound fracture on left collar bone, my T1 on my back and a punctured lung. The chest tube inserted into my body was 10x more painful than the crash!! Don't ever get a chest tube, it is very bad!! Took the doctor over an hour of trying to jam the fucking thing in the right spot, while 5 people where holding me down from moving. I think I set a record on saying the fuck word in an hour :)

Good news was that I raced six weeks later, I had great doctors that put me back together, lost the number 1 plate by 13 points that year. :(

Heal up, do your rehab, and come back like Barry did and lay some smack down!:cool:

Hah! You guys are killin me. I smashed the crap out of my sternum too (it hurts to laugh). Yes, that is femur fragments. The doc said they would butcher the crap out of my leg trying to either re-attach it or remove it, so there it is. He said it will dissolve over time. I'm down with the spare though.
