Oil weight 30 (vs) 40

I've heard using 30 weight is the way to go can you suggest a brand?

pretty broad question....what bike? what application? Honestly best overall oils are Motul 5w30 or 5w40 in 300v....Redline 5w30 or 10w40.....and Castrol R4 in 5w40. Those are my favs...motul being more and more my choice.
