Ok, I hope this doesnt turn into a "my sack is bigger then your sack" thing, but here goes.

We have a sponsor, and I want to use their stuff. I've always used the mobil gold cap synthetic stuff, works good, never had a problem with it, but this year I have a new sponsor (AMS Oil) and I dont know which of their oil choices to use in my bikes, so I'm here to ask you.

I have the following bikes;

2004 SV650 - race
2002 Aprilia Mille - race
2006 Ducati 749S (dry clutch) - street
2005 Neenja 250 - (girlfriends) - street

Anyone have any experience with AMS Oil? if so, what do you recommend I use in the above mentioned bikes?

Thank you!

oh, and my sack is bigger!

I should have looked harder on their site.

There are only two choices:

SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCF) (https://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/mcf.aspx)

and

SAE 20W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCV) (https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mcv.aspx)

So the choices cant be hard. I'm pretty ignorant with oil weights, and which to run, or what the difference even really is/means (another reason why I posted). :)

Maybe someone can not only hold my hand for which to get, but maybe even school me a bit on whats what with oil.

Thanks!

Maurice

give me a flashlight, Ill give you a roadmap. Still cant get the Gf to let me show her. :(

I've been doing some reading, and it looks like the 10w40 stuff is more japanese bike centric, and the 20w50 is more twin, but Im looking for people with experience with this brand.

stick with the 10/40 and you';ll be fine for all bikes.
