2007 r6 tips.....

Wassup, if I am planning on just mapping my bike,07 r6 with Akro Evo pipe and powercommander,do I need to also get the ignition module? Or do I only need that if I am to build the motor? Its killing me not knowing the answers.......please, o mighty wizard of motor,help a semi sorta fast guy out!

sam, no need for Ig mod with stock motor. Get a good pipe (dont spend $ on the EVO, your the lightest guy out there, get the RACE system and save $400!!)

Ignition module only needed with the quickshifter...OR you can just get the BPD set up for $1grand and have

-Fuel Mapping
-8 Injector control (DJ only 4 main ones)
-Ignition Timimg (DJ requires $380 module)
-Quick SHifter (DJ requires $250 shifter)
-Gear Offset mapping (DJ not offered)
-Gear shift kill (DJ does not allow different kill delay for each gear)
-TRACTION CONTROL (DJ not offered)

Honestly, the R6 does not need the 8 injector control, does not need ignition timing map on a stock motor and the stock YECT (yamaha elec control throttle) DOES act as a Traction control.

Get the DJ and have the Yoda of Smack talk dial her in for you. Honestly on ProV1 it will make close to 119-120rwhp and thats PLENTY fast for a guy 6'2" and 128lbs!!

On my 07 r6,do I need that stupid air restrictor on my stock air filter or can I remove that???? Also ,do I need that pointless emissions valve on top of my head or can I scrap it and connect the two tubes together???

Also,why does my r6 have a whine coming from the back of my injecters when I have the power turned on? Normal or not? And how much of a power gain will I get building the motor vs. mapping the stock engine? 5hp? 10hp?

My buddy will only dyno on pump gas so he is worthless to me,when you map my bike will you break it in or should I brake it in here on his dyno? So I removed air restrictor,pulled the air emissions valve off and connected the tubes,I also pulled out my ignition and connected the two blue wires and put a toggle switch between my power wires,mistake or not? Will you need my stock ignition when you get the bike? Thanks buddy.

How can I remove that stupid fucking exup valve motor without triggering a error code and a check engine light? I need to do everything possible so when I bring it to you you can map it and I can head to Cali asap. Thanks

leave the servo motor installed and plugged in. just remove cables.
