What to do when you need a bigger truck but can't afford $60,000 for a new one...you buy one that's about 90% restored that's what!

Thats a great truck Adam. I used to race cars in the midwest with a guy that used one of those to pull his car with. Except his had a FI 502HO crate motor. It was bad-ass.

Hey Adam,
Good for you for picking up that rig. You better get an air horn that belts out the same tune the General Lee did on the Dukes of Hazzard. You can use it to announce your arrival at the track.

Yeah...I've been lookin at gmhorsepower.com at the ram jet 502ci/502hp crate motor..but it's like 11 grand! Maybe in a couple of years. I would like that motor and a 4 speed tranny...you can get those for about $2500. Little by little...I'm gonna enjoy this 468 cubic inch bad boy for now. Had to sell my Dodge to get it though..man I loved that truck, although it was only a 1/2 ton it took everything I threw at it.
And good idea on the horn Acy!!! Sweet leathers by the way!!

Yeah..they were in pretty bad shape..after some steel wool, scotchbrite pads, a full can of mothers, hand rubbing and the use of a Mothers Power Ball..and they finally start to shine.

Didn't like having to constantly balance those big ass 37's...sooooo..ditched the 16.5" rims, got some 17's and mounted some 35" All Terrains. Much Better!

All that to haul a kx250?
I am spending $125+ a week on gas for my F350...I would imagine you're spending at least that if you're commuting! Yikes
