Ed. what is your method of time cam procedure.
the one traditional. 1mm before lift and after TDC.

Im using 1mm befor and after TDC, I just put the dial with the cam opening and measure after and before.

Im asking since numbers tend to be diferent with diferent methods.

thanks

yes, lobe center method is right. just be sure to check/set TDC before you measure stuff. take Intake opening and closing numbers at 1mm, then add 180, then subtract 2x the intake and then divide that number in 2. So if you got (these are random #'s) 14 opening, and 65 closing at 1mm...you

14 +65+180= 259

then
259-(14x2)= 231

then
233/2= 115.5

Same on the exhaust formula...but again x2/divide the smaller # so your gonna go (again random #'s)

50+8+180=238

238-(8x2)=222

222/2= 111 lobe center.

There are many ways and some easier, but this is how i learned back in 1993 and thats how i check.

Be sure to check PTV on both cams....the intake is closest from 8-12deg ATDC and the exhaust is closested 9-14degs BTDC.. try to overall safe number is +1mm on intake and +1.5mm on exhaust

Thanks a lot man.
I used your numbers, reused the gasket (no problem). I have cero knoking bellow 3K rpms, the bike runs great, diferent, its slow below 4K then gets mad after 6K yesterday I tested a bit the bike and rips but never had the chance to open the bike WOT for more than few seconds
I have to tune the bike since the O2 sensor is damaged, I will get one today.

Also installed a set of R1 calipers with CL pads (sorry I had them before you had them). the initial bike is not as much as EBC, this pads are more progresive, also the lever of the brembo mc is stiffer with this calipers. and CERO drag way less than OEM and light years from EBC that is a drag queen.

Thanks for your help
