So I got an 02 gsxr750 and for some reason towards the end of last season my headlight, front blinkers and gauges would just shut off. The neutral light is the only thing on my gauges that works. Within a few minutes or if I shut off the bike and restarted it they would come back on. I went out riding last Sunday and they went out...but didn't come back on. I have turned the ignition on and off a ton of times and still nothing. It sounds like a connection problem to me but I don't know where to start. My rear brake light and blinkers work. Any suggestions where to start? I'm clueless when it comes to electrical. I really want to ride this weeekend!
Thanks

make sure the ground wire on your battery is nice and tight. I think I has something similar to this on my first gen. R6 and the battery ground was the problem.

There's a big yellow connector near the the rf blinker (under the fairing). It tends to get corroded from washing. Take the fairing off, take the connector apart and visually inspect for corrosion. If you don't see anything, re-connect it, turn the key on and manipulate it. If your dash goes off and on - look closer at the connections. If not, look elsewhere and good luck.

Ground is going into pcIII cable and all connections near rf blinker seem good...any other ideas???

nevermind it did turn out to be a connection near the rf blinker...black connector though.
Thanks speed!

Eric,
You got these connectors in stock? The zip tie quick fix I did on this connector is finally failing. I definitely need a new connector. Also, bike has been totally losing power. Kind of like what mygixxer (on sb.ws forum was descibing). Could that be from the same problem connection?
I need to fix this asap... There's been a couple times I was moving at a pretty decent pace over Corn Pass (at night) and my fucking lights shut completely off! If you think that's scary, I ride with a dark tinted visor and even after shiting my pants and fliping up the visor I still could not see much of the road. Had to pull over on the tiny shoulder, reach down, squeeze and jiggle the connector a bit. After the second occurance I have been freaking scared as hell to ride at night.
