I raced a 2006 r6 all last year on the same spark plugs so I decided to change them for the upcoming season. (they were in bad shape). I told my local dealer to get me a set of plugs.

I installed the plugs then found out they gave me 9's vs the oem replacement 10's. Is there any harm in this? I've heard different opinions. Should I take them out & get the exact replacements?

By the way my engine is stock & I run a power commander & ignition module with the graves map.

Thanks in advance for your help

9's will be fine. the 10 is a bit colder temp range plug. if you have higher than stock compression, GO BACK to 10's. Personally i'd rather run the right 10 range plugs, but the 9 wont blow it up per se

Wy is that Ed.
my car mecanic put colder on my turbo impresa RA. so I can run more boost.

Maybe I should do that on my gsxr 1000 that will have more compresion... just a thought.

cooler plugs help keep combution chamber heat down and thus making a bit safer for higher compression and/or more boost.

you can run CR10EK's in the 1000 if you like. We typically dont see an issue with the suzuki.

we use all the help we can get since the gas here is shit.
ex
my car runs stock 16psi for 280hp. (2660 lbs) sick car
I have to run 13psi in normal gas or mix 2 gal of toluene in order to run the 18 PSI that my daughter loves since she likes to feell the take off.
