Luke,
I need to sign up for a Novice School. I prefer to go with OMRRA, but there website is not updated. When I click on the racer school application the PDF is from last year. Should I just fill out the old form and send it in? Or are they not going to have Novice school and I need to sign up with Ed Who's buddies at CT??? LOL

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, you need to sign up with CTT. OMRRA is not going to run a Novice school this year. I will be at CTT and we will take care of you. Once the course is completed to the DLPDLPDLPDLPDLP crew you will still be evaluated at OMRRA before being given your Novice card. All in all the process will be different, and likely a little bumpy until we get through a few. But you will learn more in Novice than in years past, and you will have more on track time than in years past.

Would you guys make up your mind down there? A couple of weeks ago I was told OMRRA was still running one, now you're not. WTF dude? :D

Somebody told you wrong. If we HAVE to, we will run one for under 16 or under 14 riders (not sure yet) But all others will have to go through CTT or maybe PSSR if they decide to do it.

It was by one of YOUR board members. :)

sorry nico...but the omrra board got railroaded by your buddy and then he backpedaled and now omrra has no choice. I feel bad for the board members because how he approached the idea and "sold" it to them was NOT what ended up happening. Guess when you can "Sell Ketchup popcicles to women in white gloves" (his saying) you can trick...i mean sell anything to anyone....

sad...cause it REALLY limits OMRRA! I find the new CCT vendor policy HILARIOUS considering i cant find anyone else that requires a $2,000,000 policy and vendor fees to attend....also funny how they show GP Suspension being a vendor even though i KNOW GP does not have the "required" insurance amount nor have they paid the vendor fee...but KFG/Barry has too! Lets not skip the "Tuner/Mechanic" insurance required...LOL..funny thing is i personally have more than he wants..but does that mean that if your dad comes out to help you he must have a $2,000,000 policy?

What about ALL those OMRRA novices? it would seem they could have NO ONE helping them at the track unless (like me) they in fact have a$2,000,000 policy...and lastly...just seems odd cause you can be a vendor...but if your not "vending" you dont need to pay the fee...but still need the insurance?

I for one would LOVEEEE TO SEE S D S's $2,000,000 policy!

Hugs and Kisses

Kevin, you need to sign up with CTT. OMRRA is not going to run a Novice school this year.

How does this work since CTT doesn't allow riders younger than 14+/-? The 85 riders don't have to go, or is OMRRA accepting licenses from outside the area now instead?

You quoted the wrong line Mike. OMRRA will run a school for the under age riders only.

Normally. I'd keep my opinion out of this, but Peter is SO exceptional--I've seen him race a number of times--I believe that he is one of those rare exceptions that should be evaluated directly by OMRRA. If he passes, just because of his age and size, he should probably be limited to smaller classes for a while, but should be granted a racing license.
Maybe with a year's probationary status just due to the circumstances----

He should be OK for the 85GP class based on all written rules. Just need to know when and where to show up for the school.
