I'm putting on a fork slider fro 08 1krr. Directions just call out remove oem axle nut then put on new one. Do you need to loosen the pinch holder bolts if you just want to replace the axle nut? Normally if say installing a front wheel I would first torque down axle nut, torque right leg holder bolts, then compress forks with brake to seat axle, then torque left leg holder bolts. Seems like I'd be putting a weird force on fork leg/axle if I just replace the axle nut alone.:oops:
