So, I just got my R6 home after a 2 month stay at the EDR moto-spa. and now I hear that PDX temps will go way below freezing Sunday night. I'm concerned about my race-ready/no antifreeze engine.
The bike is in an unheated underground apartment building kind of garage with a bike cover over it. No electrical outlets are available.
Any good ideas on how to keep the coolant from freezing?
What I've thought of so far is Heat Treat 12 hr Mega Warmers, which I would pack around the block or the radiator.
Any thoughts?

If its inside and underground, its unlikely it will get below freezing inside the garage but.... I typically just throw some blankets over my bike, keep it as far from the door as possible and put a small amount of water in a cup in the garage next to the bike and check it each morning. As long as the water didn't freeze, I know I am safe.
Not guarentee, just what I have been doing in the past.

Dude, dont fuck around with it,DRAIN THE WATER OUT OF YOUR MOTOR!!!!! I know soooo many people that popped their motors thinking it wouldnt freeze. It will suprise you how quickly aluminum gets cold and the water inside freezes.......drain it and dont even think twice about it.

Don't risk it--put in antifreeze. It's a good idea to change it every few months, anyway.
Keeps down internal corrosion.

Roy,
1. i would check the ACTUAL temp in your garage..honestly i bet its in the upper 30's since there is no wind.
2. you can always throw a very thick heavy blanket on it. i know a guy that runs his bike in garage (idle) and lets it get up to full temp like 200-210 when he gets home at night around 8pm from work. then he throws this thick army style blanket on it..YES watch the pipes and very hot items..but again not sure what type of material blanket is made of. He says next morning the bike is still warm...like room temp.
3. suck some fluid out of radiator. Simply unscrew the right ram air intake clamp, bend it up out of way, and remove rad cap. then suck out a cup or two of fluid. then put in a cup or two of coolant and replace cap. start bike and again, make sure to get over 200degs. then let it cool and cover bike. Remember it will not take more than a cup to keep from freezing...your only worried about MAYBE 25-30degress..not -50degs like full coolant can protect too.
