New Akra GSXR system-video

Here is the new GSXR 600 (and 750) Akrapovic SHORTY system. A lot of folks did not like that Akra chose to make their systems stnd long tube style at first, so they finally released the ULTRA small and short race systems. Fit was typical perfection. Look is honestly awesome! SOO small and up tight! Sound is bit loud but really NOT bad at all! NO where near as loud as the EKG Justin had on it.

Yes, his swingarm is silver on purpose.

What are you thoughts on the clearance issue now that you have the pipe installed? (I know that you don't have Justin's lower for a fit-check but thought that you might have a guess)

BTW, I like the look of the swingarm even more after seeing the write-up in RRW about Yate's Jordan Superbike with the Harris swingarm (also silver/brushed aluminum). It may cause a few people to do a double-take and wonder "is that arm supersport legal?" :D

Damn that looks and sounds good. At first blush it doesn't look like the can would clear the lower due to the angle.

Is the can available separately? Would it fit onto my system?

Educate me. Exhaust system diameter, configuration (4 to 1, 4 to 4, etc), and length all play a roll in engine power and character. How is it that, after 100 years or so of "long tube" motorcycle exhaust systems, we recently have the "shorty" exhaust configuration?

Inquiring minds want to know.
