I almost had a stroke today!!! I went through all my 2007 race receipts and money spent and bills and it added up to $37,290.00....and thats not including the 28 foot trailer I also bought in 07!!!!!!WTF!!!!!! I hit 17 races in 07 at an average of $1,300.00 a race,throw in a new bike,build the new bike,spares,and "WHAMMO" $37,290.00. I am going to fu##ing rip next this year and make some money to slow the bleeding! This was the first time I ever added my yearly racing up and I will never do it again.....:whacky110:

I hear you on this, I added up what it cost me to become a Padi Divemaster..not good, however when i became a Master Instructor, teaching in Japan, I made it back pretty quickly teaching every weekend 6~8 students and charging them 250.00 per Open water,AOW, Rescue etc...Once I made my money back prices were lowered and all were happy.

Racing however,definatley disposable income that should never be added up.

Dude, you think you have it bad? I got our racing budget for 2008 (my son), and I about shat myself. Just the fuel costs alone to attend all of the races this year (34 race weekends and 24 track days) is a mind numbing $41K.....just in fuel to get back and forth to and from races. Mind you our race season started the 4th of this month and will go through the end of December.

This doesn't include the tryouts for my son in the MotoGP Rookies Cup if he gets accepted, so it can definately get even worse...

dude...talk to some REALLY rich guys... figure what they spend a year

-Racing a CAR (like corvette, porsche, bmw, etc)
-Racing a Boat (like speed boats, offshore, etc)
-Skiing or Snowboarding (real pro's not sally's...the travel cost alone!)
-Doing drugs...like britney spears!
-Gambling like belly is with me on his bodyfat!
-Drinking like the waller on a weds....or any day that ends with ...day!
-Putting companies out of business like t..............shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... lol

I'm a SSI divemaster, so I know what you'r saying. I also dive in the NW, so add in drysuit, argon system for warmer gas (mmmm). Not to mention I have both open circuit systems and a Dolphin II rebreather. :)

This is how I plan on paying for my racing this season so if you were going to sell you how much would you go for . Think big here I have alot of traveling to do.
