Broke iphone...what to get now?? fml!

i have DROPPED, STEPPED ON, SAT ON, THROWN and beat my iphone to shit for 3 years....then today it drops LESS THAN 6" from my hand and SHATTERS the glass!! AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg


SO, do i step up for the $199 3GS or get something else??? I tried to text on it and my finger got cut...nice....

Who has had an iphone and other types? pro's-- con's?

WOW! My mom's iPhone fell of the couch cushion to the hardwood floor and the screen shattered. I thought those things were suppose to have windshield glass strength in the screens? Oh well, I guess they don't make them like they used to.

Good luck, I'll stick with my Palm. They break without even having to drop them, I've gone through three in 9 months LOL!!!

New screen, $200! Still considerably cheaper than new. If you have a g1/g2 you *may* qualify to upgrade to a 3g for around 99$. A trip to the apple store is worth it if you want to stick with the iPhone.

$30 case also purchased...

Jen broke my first one... I bought the $10 plastic sticky cover and a case... now the kids are using it for games and other random things with the broken screen.

yep thats what my broke ass did mike..i put on my extra screen cover! now it wont cut my fingers sliding across it and its "holding" it together...works fine. Im not buying another one..ill wait and research others. I have been on an Iphone for over 3 years...maybe time for a change...maybe back to old school BRICK phone with no features..lol

You probably qualify for a $199 3G "upgrade", I'd check.

Turns out I dropped my phone *again* yesterday, however with a protective case it survived. Though by the looks of it, it dropped on the same exact place. phew!

tim i do. but right now, every penny i have is going into EDR and my crew, my shop, my racers, my customers. NOW more than ever i wanna re-invest in my business. we have an awesome business and a lot of folks need us..so im feeling the pressure to keep fighting...a cell phone is not critical...


i know $199 sounds small, but it all adds up. I wanna make EDR break thru this winter and be there for everyone for another 11+ years...

I just bought a Pantech Pro from AT&T for $10. Just to try and have a backup. Iphones do a thousand more things than I would even come close to using. And like you even tho I want/sort of need a new one I don't wanna drop 200.

Totally understandable.

If my phone expenses were not covered by my employer I may still be using my 4 year old l33t RAZR... :)
