damaged wheel

so back 2 years ago i had a down due to pea gravel in a corner, front tire/wheel bounced off a guard rail support. the tire has a splice in the sidewall and the wheel has a decent ding in it from the impact. i rolled on it for a few weeks after getting the forks replaced and it worked fine but because of the damage obviously wanted replacement. i swapped the front wheel to one from a 1000rr and that has been working fine but i have gone through 2 set of wheel bearings in about 12000 miles. thinking i wont have that issue if im back on the 100% correct wheel for the bike. the tire is still mounted and hasnt even seemed to loos and pressure so i dont think sealing from the bead is a issue at all but wanted some input about the integrity of the wheel. will try to get pics up at work now and my old camera is dead

bike is a 03 600rr input and options appreciated, would be willing to trade the good 1000 wheel i have plus the damaged 600 wheel for a good 600 wheel with new bearings and all ready to go
