So a buddy has an 07 CBR600RR, nearly new bike hasn't been ridden in 6 months. He started it up today and was checking to make sure everything is good as he has decided to sell it. The Bazazz unit is causing the rev limiter to come on at 5K and won't rev past that, doesn't matter if you are in neutral or riding the bike down the street.
Any ideas as to what it may be?

I am thinking it has done it since new but not 100% sure. A buddy bought it from a guy who built it and then sold it due to losing his job so not sure the guy ever rode it with it installed.
My buddy never rode it either and just testing it to make sure it was all good before he put it up for sale and found the issue.
Its a bike on the east coast, not a local bike.

Tell him to unplug the IGNITION harness on the BPD...just the 4 connectors on the coils and try that. Might just be the Ignition harness. Also make sure he has the RIGHT RPM PICKUP! there are TWO connectors on the right side next to each other, both same type of plug, but the one you want on BPD IS THE BLACK ONE..lastly make sure he is on the TPS (throttle postion) since i have seen guys hook to the MAP sensor (same plug/color as well)
Good luck
