Anyone know what's at the bottom of this?

Is it money troubles?
Or more AMA-like confused leadership?
Ed Who?

yeah odd. few notes
i like the format. i think its very cool. also Roger is NO virgin in promoting racing in america. However, i have heard and even seen a LOT of bs with officials, rules, etc.
They are young...they'll learn..but wait..AMA/OMRRA/WMRRA are old...but they still have inner fightings....maybe not then..

The answer to my question is answered in these articles.

The short of it is – Roger Edmundson and Jim France (spelled Daytona International Speedway and NASCAR) are involved in a bid to take over the AMA Superbike.
Speculation to be sure, but there’s weight in this.
Try to imagine the long term changes that such experienced leadership and deep pockets would bring to motorcycle roadracing in the US. I expect those guys are picturing a leveled playing field for factory and second tier teams. Races where anyone one of half a dozen teams and riders have a real chance of winning. A series that gets first-rate promotion and draws NASCAR or WSB-size crowds. Race tracks that meet FIM safety standards. The possibilities go on and on.
