This guy Mark Lindsey is an architect that has been contracted out by Spokane County to assess the feasability of the County purchasing the racetrack. Everyone needs to contact this guy! Don't be one of those people who sit around and bitch saying that someone should do something and friggin DO SOMETHING!! There is also a generic letter that has been composed that you need to send to the County Commissioners ASAP! I sent one just yesteday and already recieved a response from one of them. They are working hard on this as we should be to! Mr. Lindsey would also like to speak to some car guys so spread the word. I have sent out emails today to alot of Car Clubs contained on the Pacific Raceways website. Get off your asses and do something!! This thread should be overfrigginloaded with responses! Dear Commissioners Mielke, Richard and Mager,
While I am not citizen of Spokane County, I am a motorcyclist, and I have followed the developments surrounding the troubles with Spokane Raceway Park closely. The loss of this motorsports venue would significantly impact the local and regional community. I would like to add my support to the plan proposed by James Sloane and others that would have the property purchased by the County and operated as a self sustaining, for-profit entity similar to the way in which Portland International Raceway operates now. With continued investment and improvement the facility could draw more events, more spectators, and more tax revenue to the County.
