I want to know peoples opinions on who makes the best bike.
I believe it to be Honda, they just flat rail and make good power. My 600rr just ripped and did not even wiggle or shake and just jumped out of corners. All the welds on them are perfect and the design is art. Easy to work on and has great front and rear feel, has a high quality feel to it. I just bought a GSXR 750 and a R6 for next year and the GSXR feels cheap and poorly built, they use bolts instead of allan heads and heavy rims and the welds on it are horridly done(have not ridden it yet but first impression is not so high). The R6 seems a little nicer to work on and has a higher quality feel to it over the GSXR,but it still seems poorer quality as compared to the Honda. In race trim both the R6 and the GSXR look less impressive than my Honda. I cant wait to ride the two so I can see if the Honda truely is the best bike.I feel if Honda paid contingency everyone would be on one. Sam Verderico #455

I feel Kawasaki has the better race bike. Higher mid corner speeds.

I've had Kawasaks and Suzukis, my brothers have had Suzukis, Ducatis and Yamahas.

I like Kawasakis personally b/c of brakes (varies on model), motors and a build quality standpoint... although no one can deny how well those Suzukis work with some mods. Haven't had a Honda so I can't comment, but your review makes me curious about one... the 600rr turns me on!

I'd love to hear your review once you had a chance to race both your new bikes.

Happy New Year to ya all!

I highly recommend any racer who is not worried about running with the wolfpack for contingency money race a Honda, really f#ckin fast and handles like a race bike should. All the top racers have to race Yamahas and Suzukis and Kawis becouse they all pay,Honda doesnt. I am putting my Honda aside and racing two money paying bikes in 08,sucks! So in one way Honda sucks ass by not paying racers much money in contingency, but on the flip side of that coin, they make the sweetest racing machines out there! Anybody who has raced one will tell you no different.

Maybe the Honda works for you 125lb girls but for people like Gulin and myself, they do not aerodynamically work. Two words come to mind. Grape Ape. :p

The other issue with low volume race bikes is part availability and development... I've been of the opinion of running what the fast guys do, including bikes, suspensions, tires, engine builders, etc... If you are the fastest guy on that known machine, you don't really have a measuring stick... unless obviously you are a trail blazer and one of the top guys.

I wouldn't think too many factory Honda parts make it down to the club level... although supersport trim all should be competitive. There are some super loyal Honda racers out there... must be some good reasons.

Yadda, yadda, yadda....you young'uns are all machine... ya got no soul, man!...Hey, get a real bike. A badazz Kawasaki two stroke 750 triple! Now that was a bike! All or nothin' throttle response, spagetti frame, too much weight on the rear wheel, wheelie monster! If you had one of those when I was young and stupid, you were the baddest boy on the block. Don't get me wrong, I love the new tech. Gawd! they're frikkin' race bikes! I looked at a few bikes when I was buying my track bike (06 R6). I had always wanted a Yamaha so I was a little biased. I looked at the Hondas. Yea,...it's ok...too perfect, you know what I mean? Kind of like kissing your sister, ....But that Yamahaww...oh baby! I thing it's an emotional thing. It should be. If it was all about numbers and graph charts, I think life would be a little boring... all in fun, guys. Just toying with ya, ....so you don't feel so bad, when you get passed by that R6 beauty..........What! .......;)

I've only raced R6's and GSXR's. I'm currently running CCS heavyweight. I also ran this class on my R6's (middleweight = meat grinder class). I loved the handling of the R6. It forced you to carry corner speed and get on the gas as soon as you turned in. It also requires proper riding position or the front end gets pissed! The dinosaur GSXR 750 ('04) I am on right now is able to run the same lap times with much less effort. When I get to Daytona, it's on! My "massaged" (ss legal!) 750 runs down many a liter bike on the banks. I love my 750. Was going o get an '08 this year until I crashed my brains out! That being said, I'll crash anything. I think all the bikes out right now are bad ass!
