They are wanting on her badly because it is just like everything else. Eric leads they way and they try and copy or interfere. Personally I say fuck em. You let them in is only going to bring the drama here because that is all they know how to do.

You could let em on. But if and when the BS starts then we delete or ban them.
Or just FUCK EM and not have to hassle with it.:1087::1087:

I say no way! I'd rather not have all the drama that will happen if you let them in. Even if it's just because I ride on Dunlops. I like Dunlops and I don't like getting bashed for it all the time. "Team" EDR all the way!
Eric, its your party and you can let in who you wish. But you and I both know where it will lead. Take it from an experienced person in this matter, this is a decision where you know what the answer should be. I hope your not thinking of letting them in just because you are now in control of the ban button and REALLY want to use it.
Why do they want on here so bad?
What do you or they have to gain by letting them in?
You started this forum because you were tired of the BS on SB and wanted to be able to speak your mind. Why then would a good business move be to allow those in that you were trying to get away from.

Personally I say screw them! how many people have said since you built this site that it is/has been nice to be on/in a forum that doesn't have the B.S. or drama. I think by letting them in will create alot of crap. But in the words of JCB,"it's your party you can let in who you wish."

Eric,
A couple of thoughts I do not post on any other forums as I am in the business and I have felt comfortable chimming in here as I will not be judged by the community at large, just a community who for the most part I respect and feel comfortable with.
I believe in my years eith wmrra I have posted maybe 10 times and I stay out of most other forums as they are largely a community of people who love the sport but may not have a lot of experience or knowledge. It does not make them or their opinions any less valuable just different.
Just my two cents take it for what it is worth.

Great feedback guys. This is what i was thinking as well. Personally i dont know why they are so upset they cant be on here. Start your own forum. Its not personal. Its business. Sage and i used to get along just fine..not beers and dinner good, but respect for each other and could b/s on phone and such. Now as he says "its war" even thou i personally still like the guy, i just think his recent decisions and choices are gonna end badly, you cant tell ppl that. Just like when a certain kid working for us went to OSU to be closer to his g/f..we ALL knew the outcome and all knew what would happen, but then again...we too were 21 and in love. She broke up with him 4 days later for "space" Some guys gotta learn thru experience.
As of now, its 100% certain i will continue the way the forum is. Cause like you guys, i love the family feel of this place! Plus a LOT of folks like mtobin, Emdee, Butterknife, etc have really put in a ton of good input that they might not if others were on here.
Thanks!

I'm sure you already know our answer to this question....LOL
:30: FUCK THEM! :84:
Good competition is always healthy...but allowing them (assuming "them" refers to two people in particular) access to this forum will only cause drama (which they seem to be really good at stirring up).

I wouldn't simply because you don't need to have the same pissing matches on two boards. Say what you want to hear and don't feel the need to press the refresh button for a whine-fest. The board seems to have like minded people that get a good laugh out of similar things and actually talks with each other. Helps each other out too. Ought to be a nice thing once the race season gets started and you have a spot that you don't have to filter through 20billionteen threads of "Not Fair!!" and "He's a dick" garbage

I don't know most of the people on here, at least by screen name, but I do know you!! When I first saw the topic, I wanted to give you the same advice I always do when you get riled up. However, after reading everyone else's opinion, it looks like you have support, from friends and racers, that would seem to say exclude them.
Maybe put them on temporary or something. I always seem to want to take the high rode, but then again "they" aren't coming after me.
Either way, I will be here. You're the Big Dog, do what feels best to you.

I can't believe you would even CONSIDER having them (Tyson - and now Sage) here. This is the "EDR FORUM"... not the EDR and EDR haters forum.
They have a website ( I guess - never seen it) and they can start their own. Hell, they probably will... LOL They can't think of something like this on their own, so they will likely copy EDR again (As said by Dlightful sitting next to me :) )
This is a nice place to discuss things and not deal with the bashing between shops. We already have a place for Jerry Springer OMRRA stuff over on sportbikes.ws.
Let's keep this place like it is... fuck them, they can start their own forum.

I like this forum because there's no soap opera drama, it's a fun place with great local members, and we get to make fun of Poo. Fuck 'em. :63:

Don't fix it if it ain't broke! I like it the way it is...nothing personal to anyone else, but I got sick of reading the sportbikes forum because of all the drama. Keep it the way it is!

Good decision Eric. Business wise it doesn't make sense to let them on here simply because it gives them a public stage to tear down what you've built. There are plenty of other places for them to attempt to do that, and thus there's no need for you to provide them an opportunity to do it on YOUR dime. That's what the "public" forums are for. Discussion, debate, truths, lies, calling out, etc, etc, etc. Those forums business model is to GENERATE discussion, fellowship and dessent, all in the name of creating more internet traffic to promote their business model, which they get paid for traffic raising their advertising rates and hit counts.
This is your area and forum, built upon your own blood, sweat, and hard work, to help further promote your business, future, and success. This forum is not designed as a money maker for you, but rather a location for your customers, following and community to share about their "great" EDR experience and make you look good. Thus, while it is full of discussions and such, its my opinion its goal should basically be to make EDR look great with this huge community of loyal happy customers.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why the "other" shops want in, they want to destroy your name, reputation, and community by bringing the war internal to you. Keep them at bay, battle on the other forums, and keep this here as a fun, great place to promote the EDR way of doing things!
That's my 2¢ big EEEE! Take it for what its worth.

im speachless....Mark...one of the best ways put. Thanks!!! And your absolutely correct!! The way im looking at 2008...we got one of the best shops around..got a new forum that is crazy busy, new cool website, great crew, some of the best racers in NW and are busier than last year. 2007 we were up over 17% which considering economy, not doing the dunlop tire sales, and early end of omrra thats amazing! We got some big things to announce soon for this seasons racing as well as some maybe enormous news for the entire NW if details get sorted...im very excited! Plus i just started on your motors mark...how bout that? :D
I was going to vote and then post my reasoning but now I see that it would all be for naught... :(
So you'll get only my reasoning instead... :D
I don't know any of you exceptionally well but I have met a few of you through Justin. There are at least a few people that I can think of amongst the "forbidden" (one of which I might also call a friend) who would only cause trouble if allowed on this forum. However, there are a couple more (another that I would call a friend and the other that I really know only by name) that might be able to add valuable technical and/or industry insight or, at the very least, an alternate view to some of the discussions here.
It is awfully quite here and whether or not that is due to the season (SB.WS is pretty quiet as well right now and actually seems to be damn near ready for life-support) or the fact that everyone here wants to march in lock-step with each other remains to be seen. Sometimes, spirited debate can be both healthy and enlightening (provided the trash talk is kept to a minimum).
I will certainly keep an eye on this place but my first impression is that it probably isn't worth much of my time. My morning/daily rounds typically consist of a stop by SuperbikePlanet, RRW, WERA BBS, SB.WS, and BARF with an occasional stop by RRX and SpeedTV tossed in. SB.WS is now slipping past BARF and may soon even fall off of the radar screen altogether. Where this forum might fit into the grand scheme of things remains to be seen but it's not off to a great start yet in my book.
Good luck with it Eric!
Just my two pennies... :)

no problem C-el...but honestly this forum has been busier than .ws the past few weeks! We typically during the day have well over 40 ppl with guests...and the topics for the most part are VERY bike/race specific and honestly more fun. I dont like the dumb kid shit that other forums are dealing with.
So, no hard feelings. Its cool.

.ws has been zzzzz lately, as has apriliaforum. I'd guess it's just seasonal... no racing, and very people ride this time of year. Now if ya'll played World of Warcraft, this place would be hoppin'! =P
