Aftermarket 06/07 R6 Side Tank Covers

So does anyone have any input on after-market tank covers for the 06/07 R6? I'm tired of replacing them.

I know the only real option out there is to get Carbon Fiber replacements. But that brings up another question. Who makes the best carbon fiber ones?

Which route to go? Velcro ones, or the ones that slide in like the OEM?

Some input would be nice. I'm riding around without the tank covers ATM, as I went through 2 sets last year (Pre-Crash), and don't want to put the money into another set that will break in a couple months.

I was talking about the side covers on the tank that are where your knees tuck in. Not Tank Sliders, however, good find, probably another good thing to have on the bike *sigh* money money money... Wasn't even able to make it down to EDR while in Oregon, because after Xmas shopping, I had nothing left for myself, even after putting all the money I made from Xmas in the bank, I still didn't have any money left over after paying for fuel... Bleah...

mic why are you replacing? ive never had any issues with any of our 06+ R6's side panels. I think Sebi moto still offers a kick ass 1 piece setup (sides and airbox/tank front cover) i had one and it was cool. Give Fred at Yoyodyne a call...tell him "His Daddy EDR sent ya" lol

Pre-Crash, I had broke both sides, where the screw secures it to the tank. On the second set replacement, I broke my left one, same spot (Which, actually came flying off at the track, not while crashing on the track!)

Bike is now rebuild again, and I'd like to get new ones, but since I've had such a bitch of a time with the oem ones, I figured I'd look into the after-market ones.

When I was at eastside ordering my last set, even they told me it happened to one of their riders (or a rider they knew at the track).

I've read on R6-Forums of it also, so I know it is not just me.
