Now I find this interesting. I have mixed feelings here, this is good they are helping, just not locally.

I tried to get Motosport to help the local club for years, they did under previous owners with my years of prodding, but the recent ownership did not want to support my team or the club. They offered to help me a little but not my entire team in 2007 so I moved on. They helped a few racers but I hear that has been cut back as well this year. Everything that they did do, for the past 5-6 years to support roadracing was because of my efforts and some of those by Jason Merritt (when he was there) and Chris Stricker. They really didn't seem to want help omrra, the local club but did in 2006 a little bit and said no in 2007. Now, this year, they go sponsor another series in the midwest\east coast? WTF? Sure makes me scratch my head, guess they figure everyone locally already spends their money with them so they need to look outside their backyard. I would like to think my years of dedication and prodding helped but with the new management, they probably don't even know about me and my efforts over the years.

I thought it was VERY odd too. Saw that this morning. But note, it is Motosport Outlet, and not the dealership. They are obviously related, but I guarantee one has a bigger bank account than the other. I would be curious to know how much they actually paid CCS for that.

I agree they are different but Scott and the other owner are partners and the other guy bill I think, even mentioned to me last year they were thinking about doing some roadracing stuff. Anyway, they are sepearate and have different budgets and since they stopped racing motocross, sponsoring CCS I am sure was much cheaper than running a SX team.

Good to see either way, maybe it will trickle into the local stuff some how.

As a CCS racer, I am glad to see them get some support. Does that mean I will by parts there? I doubt it. Cycle Gear has been very good to me, and I don't have to screw with shipping.
