Just Curious to find out what gearing others are using for Pacific, and get a feel what is ideal for Portland since I plan on doing some OMMRA events next year.
Currently I run the -1/+2 set up for Pacific, and I have Stock 600's pulling on me a little out of Turn 2, 4, and the Bus Stop.

Need to run a 5 speed set up. PM Beer Gut Racing (Dan "The Velco Man" Lippis) I believe its stock front and rear gearing.

So its basically transmisson work to run a 5 Speed set up rather than a gearing change?

nope... Just run taller gearing and don't use 6th.

You just need to use the thing that twists on the right D-tard. :p

Stock on the 06 750 is 17/45. I went to 16/45 and am tapped out in 5th when it's time to brake for t1 at PIR. It works for my big ARRSSSS.

thanks kevin! yeah you can run 16/45 but kevin is "not small" and he is out for fun/trackdays. For a racer under 200lbs that is too short for PIR. I would recommend even kevin try 16/44 and watch his corner speed come up! :D
For fast guys or little guys, i would suggest 17/46 gearing or 16/43 and run a 5speed. but again, i would PM guys like Beer Gut Racing and/or DPW Racing both are TOP 750 riders and i believe they actually run a 6 speed setup...both are the best for input...guys??

I can't remember my gearing, but since you have my bike at the shop you could take a look! I did have a 6 speed set up - I'm curious to try the 5 speed.

yeah it didnt work at SRP! Plus everyone is different. I believe we had a shifter issue with his 750 too and add that to his shift pattern and the 2-1 shift was hard.
