I guess that was a stupid question,ya bastad! Heres a better one.....does the "penske" rear shock on my 06 600rr fit my 08 GSXR 750 ? Eh?Eh? Or should I call Penske and get them to answer me "no"? I am going to quit eating until I get an answer! My life is in this forums hands.

Nothing fits, you will have to modify your Penske, which can be done for some $. I would just sell that stuff and buy a new one. Take some Ritlin and chill out, have a couple shot's as well. You will can race the Yamaha in 750 and Open until the GSXR shows up. The fact that you weight 99 pounds the R6 will be plenty fast enough, just need to work on the riding skills!

Dan lippis has told me that the 2007 was the most amazing bike his ridden in a while. I can imagine that the 2008 is abit better maybe 5 more hp and some minor handling upgrades.

sam...buy a 2007!! The 750 has VERY VERY minor updates!! it wont be faster...if so, maybe 1-2 hp..but at your size who cares?

Its a good game plan Dorn! 2007 GSXR 750 its going to have to be! M. Tobin buzz me,I will call my sponser and hopefully get it rolling with you guys. He lives in Spokane so I will convince him to buy from you guys. Unless you think the 08s will be sooner than expected.

Barry.....the rear shock off my 600rr fit my 750,just had to use small spacers on the top mount of the shock but it went right in. Will there be any issues with this set up or am I good to go? I also have my 750 forks ready to ship and 2 sets of forks for the 1000rr ready to ship with them and on one set he wants a penske rear. I will call you when i get the comfirmation an the penske rear so you can get it coming. Also, there is a local high school dance this weekend.......will you be my date?

umm....if i recall the Honda uses a VERY heavy spring rate due to its linkage. Im pretty sure you;ll need like a 450lb spring for the 750, but barry or the waller would know better

flyingbutterknife
12-30-2007, 10:36 PM
450 lb spring? Its Sam the ethiopian, not Sam the Samoian.....Are we talking grams here?

I don't know what spring rate you have on the Honda Penske shock. You should probably use a 525 or 550 spring rate on the GSXR750. We can talk about it when you call me. April says I can't go out on a date with you, sorry. You are looking pretty damn good these days, that Dan Lippis chest velcro is smokin'!

Do you want me to send you my shock when I send the forks to you so you can check,or is there a way I can tell by looking at the spring? Dont you know how velcro was invented.....Dan and his dad hugged and had to be professionally removed by a horse groomer. Later that day that groomer came up with the idea for velcro.......coincedence,I think not!

Screw it, I heard the GSXR is so bad assed that I dont even need a rear shock,Maladin uses a 2x4 and duct tape for a shock,if he can so can I! I mean really, shocks just move around anyways, who needs all that bouncing when your racing,eh? Man i am just too entelajint.......er, intulijaint......"damn" I hate big words!
