What great weather we have had for the past weekend!

First I want to thank OMRRA, all the volunteer, and corner workers. Without you all, we would not be able to do this sport in our backyards. Thank you!!.

My race weekend started Thursday night around 10PM with Jed, Do, and myself setting up for Friday morning. We paid a few people off and got into the pit area early so we could secure our spots. :) ok, I’m kidding, well about the paying anyone off thing anyways. We were there till a little after 11PM setting up and headed home.

Arrived Friday morning nice and early. It’s nice that we set everything up the night before, all I had to do was unpack a few things from the trailer, tech the bike and ride. The morning hours proved difficult to get into a rhythm with all the new lawn debris being put up. It seemed like I didn’t get a full session till the afternoon. I worked on a few things, and felt decent by the end of the day.

Saturday morning came, I wasn't going to practice, it was only a half day anyways, so I just hung out in the pits, and helped Jed, and Amy with their races, and worked ToR.

Sunday arrived, and it's race time!

Race One: Middleweight Supersport - 9th place finish
I forget my grid positions, but I was like 4th row or something. The flag drops and I get a horrible start, enter T1 and let everything settle in. Followed people around for the rest of the lap, then started to move forward. Passed a few people, got passed by others, waved at Mark Bothe as he passed me in T8, then near about lap 6 or so, I start playing with Matt Gougler. We exchange positions back and forth for the remainder of the race, on the last lap, Matt got me with a low pass in T4. I couldn’t stay on the gas and he got a better drive out then me. I finished 9th. Great racing with you Matt, that was the most fun I had all day! Let me know how the film turns out. :)

Race Two: 450 Superbike - 10th place finish
So in this race, I am damn determined to not get a bad start like I had in the first race. I'm watching the flag's every move, it drops, boom, I killed it. No, not the start, my friggin bike! Sorry Brian, I am very thankful you didn’t hit me, I could "feel" you come by it was so close. The entire field passes me while I’m trying to get the bike re-started. It starts and I take off. I enter T1 well behind everyone else. I just put my head down and pushed as hard as I could. Fought my way back to take 10th.

Race Three: Middleweight Superbike - 9th place finish
Last race of the day. I have not been having a very good day so far, but I’m in a nice grid spot. 4th on the first row. Again, I didn't get a very good start, and enter T1 towards the back of the field. I don’t remember much about this race, I pretty much just went into auto pilot and waited for the flag. Finished 9th.

All in all I had a great weekend, racing was a blast, but I just could not find myself at my normal race pace. I was 2 to 3 seconds off all weekend. Very frustrating.

Thanks to all my friends and family who came out to see me and watch racing this weekend, it was nice to see everyone. And a special thanks to my team mates, Jon and Mark, and everyone who pits with us (the list is HUGE!!!), without you all, racing would not be nearly as fun. You all make this sport what it is, and put a smile on my face every time you show up for a race weekend. Thank you!!

Lastly, I want to wish my very good friend Mase a quick recovery. Get better man, there is allot of catching up to do!
