Back to the WOrld HQ's (marriott courtyard in dry town) and thought while others getting ready i'd share my happiness with you all...
IN Supersport practice today they posted the trap speeds of the 41 riders...from last turn to the 1st turn..basically the LLOOONG straight....aka "How strongs my motor" section..
SO 41 bikes...
Top 12 ALL out of Semi Trucks/Factory Riders/Support teams
EDR built Misti Hurst 13th!!! She had the 13th FASTEST trap speed of all 41 guys (ok 40 guys, 1 girl)
I was JACKED!
THen Josh Galster (whose bike was cutting out..we found electrical issue...dumb t-tap's for power on the bpd put in last year in prototype form, came loose) was 19th! EVEN with it cutting out badly on the front straight he STILL had top 20 trap speed and was ONLY .4 behind Josh Hayes bike!
I am pretty excited my bikes are rippin fucking fast! Makes the LONGGGGGG hours me and my kick ass crew put in this week feel good!! it was AWESOME to have other AMA guys coming over to hang out with josh/misti and go "your bike is fast" or "damn...you did good on his bike..its fast" thats all i want.....the money ain't it...its all about doing something positive for a racer like josh/misti..having them SOO grateful and then having your competition congradulate you on it...nice. i love ama racing...soo much fun. (at times like yest not so much, but agian, Aaron and i spoke today about mark and aaron was 100% pure class and sincere in his mistake and truly felt bad)
Now off to have cocktails (if we can!) and dinner with our main sponsor SLEDNECKS.
Qualifying tomorrow...wish us luck!
